The Philippines' First All-Opinion Website

September 19, 2017

Since last year, I have been drooling over the Internet looking for clues that will lead to a hint of this iPhone’s existence. It’s hard to believe that it’s finally here! The iPhone X (not X but “10”) is Apple’s advance offer to us as a glimpse of the future. And last week, regardless of how late it was, I watched the launch in order for yours truly to write and contribute to the many write ups out there about this amazing iPhone.

With an awesomely big 5.8-inch Super Retina display and an A11 Bionic chip, it is more powerful than most Macs in the past. It will have wireless charging and an improved rear camera with dual optical image stabilization.

One of the crazy things that this iPhone X will deliver is its innovative and secure way for users to unlock, authenticate, and pay through a Face ID by using its TrueDepth camera system.

From unlocking your iPhone with Face ID, to playing immersive AR games, to sharing Animoji in Messages, it looks like that this phone will not only be exciting to explore but extremely fun to use, too.

Its stunning, seamless all-screen display accurately follows the curve of the phone and it’s clear to the elegantly rounded corners. The all-glass front and back features the most durable glass ever in a smartphone in silver or space gray. The highly polished and surgical-grade stainless steel band seamlessly wraps around and reinforces the iPhone X.

A seven-layer color process allows for precise color hues and opacity on the glass finish. A reflective optical layer enhances the rich colors, making the design as elegant as it is durable, while maintaining water and dust resistance.

This beautiful iPhone will come with the first Super Retina display which has the most perfect version of OLED technology. It fits the standard of Apple with stunning colors, true blacks, a million-to-one contrast ratio, and wide color support with the best system-wide color management in a smartphone. The user will definitely feel immersed in the vibrancy of its amazing display!

The HDR display will support Dolby Vision and HDR10. Together, it will make the photo and video content look even more amazing. The addition of True Tone dynamically adjusts the white balance of the display to match the surrounding light for a more natural, paper-like viewing experience.

Packed and built-in with the new iOS 11, which in itself is something I am very excited about, the new iPhone’s design and specs will take advantage of the Super Retina display and all the other features that will definitely give it an amazing power boost.

The removal of the physical Home button and replacing it with a fast and fluid gesture system will allow customers to naturally and intuitively navigate iPhone X simply by swiping up from the home screen.

That said, and many more to talk about the iPhone since its inception 10 years ago, it has brought a lot of positive innovations in the world we live in. From paying and transferring money from our bank accounts to buying tickets for our flights, from watching high definition movies and playing awesome games on the go, the iPhone for more than a decade has continued the course towards innovation and connectivity. With the arrival of this new and powerful addition to this long line of creations, we can truly feel and see that Apple really means business when it comes to realizing their dreams.
