Highlights:

  • When we filed the complaint, wala sa isip namin yung international court.
  • But along the way, nagkaroon ng maraming discussions at options. Nasama sa options ang pag file ng criminal case sa ICC.
  • Rep Umali: Impeachment proceedings are legal proceedings.
  • Rep Alejano: The president is espousing a policy of killing. He has to be responsible for what he says. We tried to go through the process.
  • Rep Umali: The procedural rules that applied in this, will also apply on the impeachment case against VP Leni.
  • Rep Umali: Even if you impeach the president, kung hindi mo babaguhin yung sistema sa ibaba, walang mangyayari.
  • Rep Umali: Wala pang endorser yung impeachment case ni VP Leni.
  • Rep. Alejano: Why engage in war on drugs kung palpak ang sistema sa loob? Hindi kasi nila inayos ang institusyon [police].
  • Rep. Umali: When the president speaks – that is not the policy. The government still has 3 branches. If you have a witness, bring it to the court and let the govt process do the job.
